10 Minute Workouts Do the Trick

Finding the time to workout is a challenge many of us face these days.  With the demands of modern day life, it can seem like there’s just no time for ourselves, and certainly not for a workout.  Have you ever wished for 10 minute workouts that worked for you?

What if there was a way to fit a workout in on your coffee break?  Today’s challenge: find three blocks of time where you have 10 free minutes, and commit to be fit with of the following 10 minute workouts.

Feeling excited?  Maybe a little bit skeptical?  Are 10 minute workouts possible?  Give this a chance, you’re sure to get your heart pumping, and muscles working to the max…in just 10 minutes.

10 Minute Workouts #1

  • 30 seconds squats
  • 30 seconds push ups
  • 30 second plank
  • 30 seconds burpees
  • Rest 60-90 seconds
  • Repeat 3-4 times

  • 30 seconds alternating front lunges
  • 30 seconds push ups, narrow to wide
  • 30 seconds pike
  • 30 seconds jumping jacks
  • Rest 60-90 seconds
  • Repeat 3-4 times

10 Minute Workouts #3

  • 30 seconds lateral lunges to sumo squat
  • 30 seconds inverted push ups
  • 30 seconds roll downs
  • 30 seconds high knees
  • Rest 60-90 seconds
  • Repeat 3-4 times

Plan your 10 Minute Workouts and Get Your Sweat On

Don’t leave even 10 minutes to chance.  Find those pockets of time and plan them in now.  You’ve just made an important appointment with yourself…no cancelling.  Be sure to record your workout so you know you completed it.  Tracking will also help you see the awesome results you achieve in the short term, motivating you to your longer term goals.

Remember…there’s always a way.  Exercises can be modified, just like we are modifying the allotted workout times.  When you want something badly enough, you find a way.  When the motivation rises out of a burning desire to live life to its fullest, you’ll be able to find the time for 10 minute workouts.  Start somewhere, plan one 10 minute workout right now.  When can you fit it in?  Then go get your sweat on.

You may feel awkward at first.  Before you know it, 10 minutes workouts will become part of your routine and you will no longer wonder how to fit them in.  The toughest part is taking the first step.  Go ahead, plenty of hands to hold, you can do this.
